Heroes just don't wear capes!

On September 30th, 2020 Ava and her family celebrated what they thought was one year cancer free. On October 1st, the very next morning, a phone call came in that turned their world upside down again, for a second time. Ava's bloodwork from the day before showed that she had relapsed. Her parents had to tell their daughter the devastating news that her cancer had returned. The doctors said she needed to head back to Orlando to be readmitted to the hospital immediately! Ava and her family have to endure that long difficult fight for a second time. She fought back even stronger in the hospital to undergoing a more and even stronger chemotherapy over months. Ava then needed a bone marrow transplant once she recovers from chemo. All the stars and prayers were answered when her brother became her hero providing his blood and bone marrow for a lifesaving transplant to his sister. Durings this time she missed the holidays at home with her family and beloved pets. Adding to this already difficult and stressful situation, the strict hospital rules due to Covid didn't allow for visitors inside the hospital, including siblings. Besides Mom and Dad, all other immediate family members and friends can only have quick little visits outside in the courtyard when the weather was good, and Ava felt well enough to be outside.

It's during this time and strict NO VISTOR POLICYS the idea of BATMAN ON CALL was realized. What if a hero like BATMAN could visit a child in need remotely or in-person and provide a spark of hope, encouragement & excitement to his/her day.
